Multiple school districts throughout the state have received social media threats against schools. SFPS and SFPD are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety at our schools. The City of Santa Fe and SFPD are working directly with the FBI on the threat, which appears to be a hoax. There is no immediate threat towards any SFPS school.

That feeling when your Monster comes to life!
1st graders at Salazar drew monsters, which were then passed along to Dr. Gerstein's 5th graders, who brought them to life! Students used felt, filled them with stuffing and sewed them together with yarn!
The 5th graders then interviewed the 1st graders about their monsters. They took the audio from the interview and coded the monsters with Makey Makey so when the students touched parts of the monster, it repeated part of their interview!
To learn more about the project, you can visit Dr. Gerstein's blog about the project here: https://usergeneratededucation.wordpress.com/2023/03/04/monster-project-using-makey-makeys-and-scratch/
