The El Dorado Choir Community School Department had twenty-two students chosen for the New Mexico American Choral Directors Association All State Children's Choir Festival!
This is a very prestigious annual event for the children of New Mexico. We started participating in the event 8 years ago. NMACDA invites choir teachers throughout the state to prepare their singers on an audition song and then submit a recording of each child to their office for evaluation by judges. The performances are judged on a wide set of criteria, including, pitch, intonation, breathing, and tone. Several weeks later the top rated singers are selected to be a part of a choir festival. The whole Choir auditions and this year 22 students were chosen (more than ever at Eldorado CS or all of SFPS)! Congratulations!
