Mission
The SFPS Art Department provides an exceptional, comprehensive, standards-based program of art education to K-12 students in Santa Fe public schools. We prepare children and youth for college, career, and/or lifelong engagement with the arts.
Department Profile
- 37 teachers
- 2 staff members
- 1 mentor / instructional coach
- Every Elementary student receives 50 minutes of weekly art instruction
- Most Middle School students receive 50 minutes of daily art instruction
- Art offerings at the High School level include Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Crafts, Photography and Film.
- Santa Fe High School offers AP Studio Art as an elective.
