What We Do
The purchasing unit of the Santa Fe Public Schools is responsible for:
All purchasing activities in accordance with New Mexico Statutes, Procurement Code and strives to provide the highest level of quality, efficiency and effective professionalism of procurement aligned with the Santa Fe Public School District Mission.

Marie is responsible for all procurements which include but are not limited to:
Small Purchases, Invitations to Bid and Proposals. She is instrumental in advising all Santa Fe Public School departments in procurement and guiding them on how to find and utilize current agreements from other procurement entities. She reviews and approves all audit requisitions converted into official purchase orders. She greets and advises vendors from the business community on a regular basis and she supports the purchasing assistant wherever needed. She holds a Certified Procurement License from the State of New Mexico.

Carla is responsible for auditing all requisitions for procurement, converting all requisitions into official purchase orders, the revision and closing of all purchase orders and the printing and distribution of all purchase orders to the different school sites and business communities. She verifies contract services and is also responsible for processing and input of all W-9 forms from vendors in the business community doing business with the Santa Fe Public School District. Carla assists in preparing contracts for the district. She is in constant communication with school sites and vendors to advise and answer questions regarding procurement. Carla provides excellent administrative support of the Purchasing Department and has over 18 years’ experience in Public School business.
