Gender Support Process

SFPS strives to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for our
transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming (TRANS/GNC) students.

We know that when students feel included, welcome, and safe to be themselves,
they are better able to fulfill their full potential in all areas of their lives, including school.

A safe learning environment for all students ensures that every student shall have equal access to all school programs and activities, and assists District personnel in supporting the educational success of transgender and gender nonconforming students.

SFPS has the following policies, practices and procedures in place to ensure equal access and promote a safe and welcoming learning environment for transgender and gender nonconforming students:

  1. Board Policies 330 & 331

  2. Administrative Regulation for 330

  3. Gender Support Process
