2017 General Obligation Bond

The $100 General Obligation Bond was approved by Santa Fe voters in February 2017. The District prioritizes projects based on building needs and educational goals. The Citizens’ Review Committee evaluates projects regularly, gathers input from the community and makes recommendations to the School Board. Ultimately the School Board approves any district construction, adapting building priorities to the educational needs of our community.

The 2017 General Obligation Bond:

  • Funds high school facilities for programs in the applied sciences such as sustainable technologies, autotech, welding, science labs and more.

  • Will fund construction of a new comprehensive middle school offering a greater variety of academic, extracurricular and arts programming.

  • Will allow SFPS to expand energy and water conservation initiatives, reducing our environmental impact and saving money that goes back into the classroom.

  • Will improve all SFPS schools, including ATC Charter School.
