Immunization Requirements

Dear Parents,

Santa Fe Public Schools wants to keep all students healthy. In order to attend school, New Mexico Law requires that all students be up-to- date on all required immunizations or have a valid and current approved immunization exemption on file for each school year. There are new requirements for students entering pre-school and 7th grade. Students who are 48 months or older, entering pre-k must have had two hepatitis A vaccines in order to attend pre-k.  The Meningitis vaccine is now required in addition to the Tdap booster for entry into 7th grade. Also students who were on a "catch up schedule" who received the Tdap between ages 7-10 will need an additional Tdap booster. Please check with your primary care provider to ensure your child is up-to-date on all required immunizations or has the required, approved exemption for this school year.
