Santa Fe Public Schools is dedicated to providing a safe, secure and nurturing environment that facilitates and enhances student achievement and success. The SFPS Code of Conduct and individual school discipline policies aid in this effort. In addition, the Crisis Response Plan provides all members of the learning community a step-by-step protocol for emergencies.
The Plan is a District template, and is individualized for each school and administrative site. It is revised each year to reflect staff changes and new policies and procedures.
Readiness and emergency management activities are guided by the District Safety Committee comprised of:
- Community emergency management officials and responders
- Academic and administrative staff
- Students
- Parents
- Numerous community support agencies
