About Amy Biehl Community School
Amy Biehl is committed to the development of sustainability and high performance both inside and out. The school is designed to be energy efficient; promote respect for our natural and built environments; and to provide safe, healthy, and inspirational learning environments.
Amy Biehl is LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified. The school has many “green” features which includes outdoor spaces for each classroom to conduct lessons outdoors; geothermal heating and cooling; a weather station; and a community garden where vegetables are harvested for our CookingWith Kids classes and/or served in our cafeteria.
Amy Biehl has an After School Program in which students receive tutoring and extra assistance with homework. Amy Biehl also plans on being the first elementary school to become an AVID school for the 2014-2015 school year.
