Santa Fe Public Schools has a very important Senate Bill 9 (SB-9) Election coming up on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Many of you may ask, “What is SB-9 and why is it so important for our schools in these tough financial times?”
Important facts are listed below regarding our SB-9 funds:
- Public Schools Capital Improvement Act commonly known as SB-9 Mill-Levy
- Election held every 6 years
- Benefits all students, including Charter schools
- Renews current and fixed property tax rates
- Will not raise property taxes
