Milagro Middle School
Principal, Milagro Middle School
A Message from Principal Marc DuCharme
A team of District personnel, including Dr. Garcia and I, met with parents on February 16, 2017 at Capshaw Middle School. Parents from many of the elementary schools that feed into Milagro Middle School also attended. The discussion was extremely beneficial as we create our new middle school. We are scheduling a follow-up meeting for the beginning of April. I will update this page and send out a robo call as soon as the details are finalized.
In the meantime, I have scheduled a series of “drop-in” meetings to get your input on any ideas you have for the school. I will be available to listen and answer questions. These meetings will be held every other Wednesday from 5:30—7:00 PM in the Capshaw Middle School library. Please feel free to stop in and chat. We have the following drop-in meetings scheduled:
· March 15th (Capshaw)
· March 29th (Capshaw)
· April 12th (Capshaw)
· April 26th (Capshaw)
· May 10th (Capshaw)
Also of note, the School Board of Education is scheduled to discuss and approve the final building design of Milagro Middle School at the April 18, 2017 Board Meeting, which will be held at 5:30 PM at the Educational Services Center, 610 Alta Vista. This meeting is open to the public and can also be viewed online. Information about this meeting, including how to view it online, can be found on the Board of Education page on our website www.sfps.info. The agenda will be posted 72 hours prior to the meeting.

- Education is a right that comes with responsibility.
- Every person will value and model integrity, respect for all, and a solid work ethic.
- We engage our challenges and celebrate our successes.
- ALL students deserve equal access to opportunities.
- ALL stakeholders deserve a safe environment for teaching and learning.
Students, staff and parents of the New Middle School are collectively committed to embracing and encouraging innovative programs designed to foster student leadership and a love of learning. We provide access to a menu of classes that includes arts, music, and technology, as well as a variety of extracurricular activities. We create a platform where technology and learning address the diverse learning styles of OUR students. With inspiring curriculum, every student is motivated, prepared and enthusiastic about high school.
